Mum needed help..

My mum's always been really into helping with charities (that's her on the bottom picture) but recently took it to a whole new level. She started up the first solidarity market at her highschool. People seem to be very interested so this is a poster she asked me to do for her new project.
Really hope it's the first of many solidarity markets. Good luck mum!

Mi madre siempre ha estado muy pendiente de ONGs y todo tipo de ayudas (el segundo dibujo es ella) últimamente ha montado un mercadillo solidario en su instituto que abrirá sus puertas en algún momento de enero. Éste es el cartel que me pidió que le hiciera y el segundo es su regalito de cumpleaños..

el cuervo y la zorra - the fox and the crow

I don't know if this is a well known tale in English but it's a classic here in Spain. This tale shows you how people can manipulate you to get what they are after.
For those who don't know the fox wanted the cheese and told the crow how very nice his voice was. He asked it to sing and made it forget about the cheese...sly character..

Esta es una fábula muy conocida. El cuervo y la zorra, esta es mi versión de los personajes. Para el que no conozca la historia trata simplemente de como manipula la zorra al cuervo para conseguir quitar el queso al cuervo.

stolen goods- robo

This is something that happened to us all on Saturday afternoon...we went to turn off the lights after our meeting in the school and found all of these kids stealing pens and pencils(dumb right? except for the fact that they stole at least one computer)...we managed to get two of the thieves (a 17 year old and a 13 year old)..the police are on it now but it was surely nerve wrecking!

Esto es algo que nos pasó este sabado por la tarde. Salíamos de una reunión de monitores en el instituto cuando al ir a apagar el cuadro de luces nos encontramos con este panorama..
Unos 10 chavales estaban robando material escolar (no parecía que se hubiesen llevado nada hasta que vimos los cables arrancados de la torre del ordenador)...guille y merce consiguieron pillar a dos entre todo este follón y llamamos a la guardia civil.
Se están investigando los detalles pero esta claro que tuvimos una tarde de locura!

little viking -el pequeño vikingo

Here comes something new...this is a little viking I came up with for the clan t-shirts. Sorry i've taken so long to post stuff but i've been a little busy with some storyboards and a bunch of other things..hope you like it..

Aquí traigo algo nuevo..es un pequeño vikingo que dibujé para las camisetas de un clan nuevo de rutas en el grupo. Siento el retraso pero he andado un poco liada con storyboards y movidas..espero que guste..

ninja animation

This is a 2d animation with a 3d background...just trying out some new techniques...my ninja character turned out to be very cute during those long hours..you can't really make him out here but he had a cute outfit...(just imagine him dress all in black).

Esta es una animación en 2d con fondo en 3d....solo estaba probando nuevas técnicas..mi personaje ninja terminó siendo un gran aliado y una monada a mis ojos durante las largas horas intentando hacer que funcionara..es una pena pero no se le ve su trajecito muy de cerca...(imaginaroslo todo vestidito de negro)..

anatomy sketches

These are some sketches from last week..we've now got a class for the model to pose for 4 hours so these are some from last tuesday..most of these sketches were done in under five minutes, some where up to a minute max. Well, here go my Tuesdays..
Estos son unos bocetos que hice hace una semana..ahora tenemos una clase libre para hacer poses con el modelo durante cuatro horas. La mayoría de los dibujos estan hechos de 5 minutos a 1..Bueno esta es mi tarea de los martes..

My garden of wonders

This is something I learnt in class today..we had to imagine something with layers and I came up with this..I kind had a flashback of the garden the summer house in Scotland and just went with that..obviously made it a lot bigger but i'm happy with the overall experiment of this design..
Esta es una ilustración que hemos hecho en clase. Teníamos que diseñar algo con varias capas y esto es lo que se me ocurrió..Está inspirado en el jardin de la casa de veraneo en Escocia..es un flashback del jardín, lo he agrandado pero estoy contenta con este primer intento..creo que esta tecnica va a ser interesante para experimentar con ella..

new technique!linear work

This is something we learned to do in class..it was hard to get a really simple cloud going at first but after a while I thought of practicing a bit and this is the first thing I came up with..so I hope it's likeable..
El otro dia en clase estuvimos aprendiendo a usar una herramienta del photoshop que se nos resistía muchísimo..el hacer una forma en particular se hacía un mundo. Después de desesperarme con la plumilla practiqué un poco en casa y esto es lo que me salió..

This is something i've been working on these couple of weeks..studio designs...I was asked to storyboard and think of a way to present the studio's logo..these are some of the things I came up with..

OK, so I was supposed to finish this animation but it only got this far...it would need a lot of tweaks, specially with the timing.. but it'll do for now...
