Mum needed help..

My mum's always been really into helping with charities (that's her on the bottom picture) but recently took it to a whole new level. She started up the first solidarity market at her highschool. People seem to be very interested so this is a poster she asked me to do for her new project.
Really hope it's the first of many solidarity markets. Good luck mum!

Mi madre siempre ha estado muy pendiente de ONGs y todo tipo de ayudas (el segundo dibujo es ella) últimamente ha montado un mercadillo solidario en su instituto que abrirá sus puertas en algún momento de enero. Éste es el cartel que me pidió que le hiciera y el segundo es su regalito de cumpleaños..

el cuervo y la zorra - the fox and the crow

I don't know if this is a well known tale in English but it's a classic here in Spain. This tale shows you how people can manipulate you to get what they are after.
For those who don't know the fox wanted the cheese and told the crow how very nice his voice was. He asked it to sing and made it forget about the cheese...sly character..

Esta es una fábula muy conocida. El cuervo y la zorra, esta es mi versión de los personajes. Para el que no conozca la historia trata simplemente de como manipula la zorra al cuervo para conseguir quitar el queso al cuervo.

stolen goods- robo

This is something that happened to us all on Saturday afternoon...we went to turn off the lights after our meeting in the school and found all of these kids stealing pens and pencils(dumb right? except for the fact that they stole at least one computer)...we managed to get two of the thieves (a 17 year old and a 13 year old)..the police are on it now but it was surely nerve wrecking!

Esto es algo que nos pasó este sabado por la tarde. Salíamos de una reunión de monitores en el instituto cuando al ir a apagar el cuadro de luces nos encontramos con este panorama..
Unos 10 chavales estaban robando material escolar (no parecía que se hubiesen llevado nada hasta que vimos los cables arrancados de la torre del ordenador)...guille y merce consiguieron pillar a dos entre todo este follón y llamamos a la guardia civil.
Se están investigando los detalles pero esta claro que tuvimos una tarde de locura!
