I know I'm uploading all of these seasonal illustrations really late but I've had literally no time, these last few days I kept looking at my sketches and couldn't concentrate on work cause I really wanted to play around with these. I went to my first thanksgiving this year!! I'm an absolute fan of pumpkin pie!!! So, I started learning a little about thanksgiving and went for a milder version (the real one turns out to be a little bloody)..

Sé que estoy subiendo estos dibujos super tarde pero no he tenido NADA de tiempo para trabajar en ellos. Llevaba mirando los bocetos de halloween y thanksgiving durante semanas y no me he podido poner con ellos hasta estos días.

¡Esta es la primera vez que voy a una cena de acción de gracias! Soy una fan absoluta de la tarta de calabaza, rica rica... He optado por hacer algo basado en la idea de acción de gracias y no en lo sangrienta que fue después...

Spain is starting to suffer from really bad political choices, that's not really something new... Education is in trouble, our schools are starting to get budget cuts and teacher reassignment. More students per class, less teachers, less one on oone time...I haven't been able to go to the demonstrations so, this is how I show my support.

España se está metiendo en un terreno pantanoso con el tema de la educación. Están haciendo recortes en los sitios menos indicados por lo que el resultado ha sido grandes manifestaciones en la calle. Como no he podido ir a las principales, subo un dibujo que he hecho para la ocasión.

I went camping in July, these were our kids! We have a range that goes from 6 to 18 year olds, I spent most of my time with the beavers, the 6-8 year olds. Here are the camper kids and the rest of the scout leaders that worked along with me during the year and at camp...It's been a great camp. There are more people that helped to make it all work out but here are the official beavers for the summer of 2011.

Estuve de campamento en Julio mi grupo scout, estos son los niños que nos llevamos. Tenemos de 6 a 18 años pero yo pasé mucho tiempo con los castores (6-8años). Aquí están caminando con sus monitores, ha sido un gran año y campamento. Hay mucha gente que apoyó a la rama pero he decidido dibujar al grupo oficial de valientes que estuvo día y noche con los castores durante el verano del 2011.

I just spent 5 days in this city of art, I'd never travelled alone so I was a little worried I would get tired of myself.. I got a chance to walk around this beautiful city and meet people from around the world. It was great, although that wasn't the main reason I chose Florence, there is an american art school that is just breathtaking..I was lucky enough to get a tour around the art studios (something I had already arranged from Madrid) with Jordan, a great teacher and amazing artist. This place helped me realize I'd love to study there..so here it is, my future destination, if they'll have me...

Este es un proyecto en el que trabajé en el mes de febrero. He colaborado con la revista ÉTNICA, al igual que Patri (Melvirart), a la que le doy las gracias por ponerme en contacto con ellos. El tema de las ilustraciones es Latino America ¡Por fin se publicó y ya puedo subirlas al blog! Es una revista que está empezando poco a poco y ya ha presentado su primer volumen en LimaComics 2011.

I've changed my original design, I think this one works better.

Clowns have been the stars of a movie I saw this week,"Balada Triste de Trompeta". So they've been on my mind. The ones in the film are really scary and nutty but this is what I can deal with right now. I'm still a little shocked with the scenes and drawing a scary clown right now is not what I want to be staring at....

The movie is pretty hardcore. If you are affraid of clowns don't ever see it. It could scar you. I think it is safe to say it's worth watching. Always keep in mind it's Alex de la Iglesia as a director. He is pretty bazaar.

He cambiado mi diseño original, creo que este funciona mejor.

Los payasos han sido los protagonistas de la película que vi la semana pasada, Balada Triste de Trompeta. Han estado rondandome la mente estos días. Los de la película son bastante impactantes, de momento no voy a tirar por esa pinta. Sigo un poco en shock con algunas escenas...

Si te dan miedo los payasos preparate para la peor experiencia visual que te puedes echar a la cara. Es una película de Alex de la Iglesia, yo calificaría su estilo como DIFERENTE y digno de conocer.

Hurray! Our scout group has a logo at last! This is pretty much us, excentric costumes and great fun! The pioneers and network are organizing merchandise so they asked for a logo. Hope it worked out!

Animadrid is an Animation festival held in Madrid. This year they came up with a drawing contest, and I WON IT!! Unbelievable but true! I was called in and collected a set of animation classics. The short films this year were really good. Really enjoyed the show.

I hope anyone who can will manage to go next year. Really worth it.

Animadrid es un festival de animación que se organiza en Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid. Este año han introducido un concurso de dibujo y...¡¡¡Lo gané!!!

Pude ir a la ceremonia de clausura y recoger una colección de clásicos de la animación. Este año los cortos son estupendos. Recomiendo a cualquiera que le guste la animación que se pase el año que viene por allí.

I just finished a proyect. Theoretically we get asked to design a logo and a corporative mannual for a music company called Sonic Present.This is how mine went. I'll try to upload the mannual this week but for the time being I'm uploading some photos of the cd's box I just finished.
The logo will be uploaded with the mannual.

Here it goes...my final proyect.

Okay I still think he's eyes look a little dodgy but I've wanted to post a Boone drawing ever since I saw this guy on LOST. Now he's on Vampire Diaries (I'm betting he's the reason most of us follow the series...)

I've been really busy recently and neglected to post some drawings! I finished this one up 10 minutes ago cause I couldn't wait to post something..Sorry for the delays but I'm getting a new computer soon so I promise to post many more things this month....Well this is a tv series that's got me completely baffled!I can't figure out what makes me want to keep watching it, complete craziness is what it is...but I admit I can't wait to watch the end of it..These are my favourite characters form the best season (first one!).

He estado muy liada ultimamente y he descuidado el blog bastante pero acabo de terminar esto hace unos 10 minutos y tenía ganas de publicar algo. Enfin voy a tener el nuevo ordenador pronto asique subiré más cosas este mes.
Esta serie de televisión me tiene un poco pillada, nose qué tiene que me hace seguir viendola aunque admito que tengo mucha curiosidad por el final, ya no puede ser más locura..estos son mis personajes favoritos de la mejor temporada (la primera!).

Well, i'll get the 3d version of city of the damned eventually but while i'm working on that here are some drawings i've taken another shot at. The first one is a remake of another self-portrait
I did a while back but I simpified it and used Illustrator for the first time! Cool program!
The second one is a background I did ages ago. I decided to add a few characters into the scene to make it a little more interesting.
Mientras termino el cartel a 3d (los apuntes andan un poco perdidos) subo estos dibujos. Los dos son remakes de dibujos anteriores. El primero es un nuevo look con illustrator (¡primer dibujo con este programa!) de la caricatura que hice hace tiempo y al segundo le añadí unos personajes al fondo. Creo que así se vuelve un poco más interesante.

This is my version of the movie made in 1963 called village of the damned.
We are setting up a collection in class and this is the movie I chose.
I'll probably make another one.
This version is a normal 2d version...during this week i'll post the 3d version of it
(keep in mind you'll need one of those old red and blue glasses to notice the effect).

Esta es mi version de la pelicula, hecha en 1963, del pueblo de los malditos.
Estamos preparando una exposición en clase, si salen suficientes trabajos.
Lo más seguro es que haga otro mas pero de momento tengo este.
Este cartel está en 2d pero a lo largo de la semana subiré la versión a 3d
(recordad que necesitaréis una de esas gafas rojas y azules para notar las diferencias).

Ekey, creo que eres a la persona a la que le debo más dibujos..este va por tu cumpleaños (lo sé, muy tarde...)pero te he hecho esta cosita mientras llega el siguiente y me lo curro más...enfin i love you my friend!!!

My mum's always been really into helping with charities (that's her on the bottom picture) but recently took it to a whole new level. She started up the first solidarity market at her highschool. People seem to be very interested so this is a poster she asked me to do for her new project.
Really hope it's the first of many solidarity markets. Good luck mum!

Mi madre siempre ha estado muy pendiente de ONGs y todo tipo de ayudas (el segundo dibujo es ella) últimamente ha montado un mercadillo solidario en su instituto que abrirá sus puertas en algún momento de enero. Éste es el cartel que me pidió que le hiciera y el segundo es su regalito de cumpleaños..

I don't know if this is a well known tale in English but it's a classic here in Spain. This tale shows you how people can manipulate you to get what they are after.
For those who don't know the fox wanted the cheese and told the crow how very nice his voice was. He asked it to sing and made it forget about the cheese...sly character..

Esta es una fábula muy conocida. El cuervo y la zorra, esta es mi versión de los personajes. Para el que no conozca la historia trata simplemente de como manipula la zorra al cuervo para conseguir quitar el queso al cuervo.

This is something that happened to us all on Saturday afternoon...we went to turn off the lights after our meeting in the school and found all of these kids stealing pens and pencils(dumb right? except for the fact that they stole at least one computer)...we managed to get two of the thieves (a 17 year old and a 13 year old)..the police are on it now but it was surely nerve wrecking!

Esto es algo que nos pasó este sabado por la tarde. Salíamos de una reunión de monitores en el instituto cuando al ir a apagar el cuadro de luces nos encontramos con este panorama..
Unos 10 chavales estaban robando material escolar (no parecía que se hubiesen llevado nada hasta que vimos los cables arrancados de la torre del ordenador)...guille y merce consiguieron pillar a dos entre todo este follón y llamamos a la guardia civil.
Se están investigando los detalles pero esta claro que tuvimos una tarde de locura!

This is a 2d animation with a 3d background...just trying out some new techniques...my ninja character turned out to be very cute during those long hours..you can't really make him out here but he had a cute outfit...(just imagine him dress all in black).

Esta es una animación en 2d con fondo en 3d....solo estaba probando nuevas técnicas..mi personaje ninja terminó siendo un gran aliado y una monada a mis ojos durante las largas horas intentando hacer que funcionara..es una pena pero no se le ve su trajecito muy de cerca...(imaginaroslo todo vestidito de negro)..

These are some sketches from last week..we've now got a class for the model to pose for 4 hours so these are some from last tuesday..most of these sketches were done in under five minutes, some where up to a minute max. Well, here go my Tuesdays..

This is something I learnt in class today..we had to imagine something with layers and I came up with this..I kind had a flashback of the garden the summer house in Scotland and just went with that..obviously made it a lot bigger but i'm happy with the overall experiment of this design..

Teníamos que diseñar algo con varias capas y esto es lo que se me ocurrió..Está inspirado en el jardin de la casa de veraneo en Escocia..es un flashback del jardín, lo he agrandado pero estoy contenta con este primer intento..creo que esta tecnica va a ser interesante para experimentar con ella..

This is something we learned to do in class..it was hard to get a really simple cloud going at first but after a while I thought of practicing a bit and this is the first thing I came up with..so I hope it's likeable..
El otro dia en clase estuvimos aprendiendo a usar una herramienta del photoshop que se nos resistía muchísimo..el hacer una forma en particular se hacía un mundo. Después de desesperarme con la plumilla practiqué un poco en casa y esto es lo que me salió..

Este es mi primer cuento infantil, espero que os guste.Habría sido más largo pero solo tuve una semana.

OK, this is my first children's tale. It's simple but i only had a week!

So, i know this is in Spanish,here's the translation:

"Charlie's apple"

page 1: Charlie went away on an excursion to the neighbors back garden, he was mesmerized by the gorgeous apples. There was just one rule: Every garden had to have a different fruit tree. Charlie had always dreamt about apples.

page 2:He brought the apple home, looking at it with pride while he passed his dull orange trees.He had a lot of plans for this apple.

page 3:Charlie didn't expect to have to save his juicy friend from the dangers of a domestic home. It was a daily adventure to keep it safe.

page 4: It was bed time and Charlie had managed to keep it safe once again, now it was tucked in, looking smug at the garden orange trees.

This is an idea that came up when i was asked to draw entertwained figures. I wanted to go for something that didn't necesarilly have to be lovers and ended up with this little piece(yes, i know MORE children, but i just can't help myself!)...i had a cute moment colouring this in...hope you like it..

Esta es una idea que surgió cuando me pidieron que dibujara figuras entrelazadas para un ejercicio de clase. Quería intentar hacer algo que no fuese necesariamente una escena entre amantes o guerreros asique terminé haciendo esto(lo sé, MAS niños, que le vamos a hacer, ¡me encantan!). He tenido una tarde muy divertida coloreando este dibujo, espero que guste.

Well this is the start of my comic. I had to make it look a little sexy so here is what I came up with...clowns...yeah clowns can be sexy too..i'm off making the first two pages for this story( it's going to be a very short story) let's see if I can upload it all in a matter of weeks .

Hope you like how it turns out..maybe it helps some get over clowns.

¡¡los payasos también pueden ser eróticos!!!!! enfín está es la primera pagina a lo largo de dos semanas o así tendré las paginas de toda la historia (la cual va a ser un tanto corta)

Vale he estado SUPER liada estas dos semana pero prometo poner algo mañana por la tarde..espero que os guste.. de momento os dejo una animación en la que estoy trabajando, es un tanto larga por lo que está sin acabar pero esto es lo que he conseguido hasta ahora..le falta añadirle efectos al fuego y detalles que pulir pero cuando le añada el final la volveré a colgar entera...

This is my version of our 50th scout reunion with our "SdM" (scouts of madrid) I offered to design this years poster so let's hope they go with it... ¡¡¡MSC cumple ya 50 años!!!Felicidades! bueno este es el poster para la quedada scout que vamos a hacer en abril (San Jorge). He estado dandole vueltas a este cartel un tiempo y es la versión que más me gusta asique espero que a ellos también les mole..si todo sale bien lo vereis en abril.

Espero que os guste a todos esos scoutcitos que purulan por aqui (sino pues nose alguna crítica constructiva tampoco viene mal, eso sí si hay criticas hay que aportar también soluciones va?)

This all started cause I was bored on the bus. I've got a pal who also takes the bus home and takes around the same time to get home so we came up with a system...Bus themes...Every day we set a topic and we have to draw it on the bus, the next day we show each other what came up during that time...I don't know.... it's fun(it is, ok!!!)

Todo esto comenzó porque me aburría de vuelta a casa en el autobus, un amigo también tiene un buen rato de autobus asique hemos quedado en una temática sobre ruedas...todo los días nos ponemos un tema y en ese rato en el que andamos parados de camino a casa intentamos cuadrar el tema en una ilustración..al día siguiente nos enseñamos los dibujos y ...¡si! se convierte en algo divertido para la rutina.
